We're the Dorris family.
We call these rolling hills of Greenbrier, Tennessee home, and have for more than a century. Nestled within the picturesque landscapes of Tennessee's Robertson County stands The Brier Barn, a cherished gem with a rich legacy dating back to the early 1900s. Originally erected as a dark-fired tobacco barn, the structure helped generations of the Dorris family cultivate tobacco for over a century. Through the years, the barn underwent expansions to accommodate the family's growing needs, each addition crafted from locally-sourced lumber harvested right from the farm itself. Today, The Brier Barn stands as an authentic testament to Tennessee's renowned dark-fired tobacco heritage.
A labor of love spanning four generations, the Dorris family poured countless hours into the barn, transforming it into the epicenter of their tobacco production. From the fields to the barn's hallowed walls, each stage of the tobacco's journey—from harvest to curing—unfolded in these four walls.
